My name Is Michel, I am a full time student majoring in education, a full time wife to my airman, and a full time mother to our two fur babies for now! I am a southern girl at heart and proud of it. I enjoy just about any outdoor activities, and love basketball. Coffee is definitely my weakness, especially here in the North West. I adore my husband and our family. We miss them much but enjoy our life in the Air Force.

My Airman, a lovable, caring, sweet, car loving, hardheaded man! : ) but he is my world. He is a boom operator in the Air Force and so far he loves his job. When he isn’t working he is probably working on his car, or on the internet finding things for his car. He is crazy, but you just can’t ask for a better husband.

Highschool sweathearts, that stuck together trough it all and ended up falling head over heels for each other. Married on November 23, 2009 and loving our wild and crazy life as two southerners living in the Northwest!

Dear Mr. D

As you all know the hubs and I have yet to face our first deployment yet, but we both knew it was coming soon. We were told that He would be leaving around the 1st of the year, and I was very happy with that because he would be home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years! We were just told that he wasn't on the list for the January rotation anymore and that he could possibly be leaving before or after. Have I ever mentioned how I HATE the fact of how unorganized the AF is. It is horrible and they are always throwing shit at you at the last minute. It is ridiculous, and I do not see why they have problems with it at all. Deployments are already hard as it is, and not knowing when they are coming is even more stressful.. I swear it is just my hubs MOS, and his squadron that is so terribly at this. Everyone of our friends have known their D date like 3 or 4 months ahead of time. I am so not looking forward to the deployment world at all and it is something i need to get use to quick considering the hubs job is gone all the time. Last time we went through being apart, which was basic and tech school,  it was the hardest things I ever did and I just hope it is 100 percent better than it was then.

  1. That's the worst part about the whole deployment process I think. We have a month window for when my husband is leaving, and I'm grateful for that window...but I wish it wasn't a month big. I'd rather him go so I can start counting down for him to come home, versus this awful waiting game. It's stressful!

  2. Girl I feel ya! Chris just informed his is most likely getting changed because someone just found out they are preggo and can't go. So here we go in the waiting game again too! Ah! I wish they would get it together already!

  3. The 'waiting' definitely sucks!! I'm sorry they are making things so difficult for you guys. I remember wanting to have all the time in the world with Jesse before he deployed, but once it got down to those last couple days (all the while we didn't know which day he was going!!) I honestly just wanted him to go so that we could get it over with! Here's hoping you find something out soon :)

Where in the South are you from?? I'm from Alabama :) and missing it oh so terribly. Hawaii's nice and all but it's nothing like home! anyway, Nice to meet you and be following you're blog!
