My name Is Michel, I am a full time student majoring in education, a full time wife to my airman, and a full time mother to our two fur babies for now! I am a southern girl at heart and proud of it. I enjoy just about any outdoor activities, and love basketball. Coffee is definitely my weakness, especially here in the North West. I adore my husband and our family. We miss them much but enjoy our life in the Air Force.

My Airman, a lovable, caring, sweet, car loving, hardheaded man! : ) but he is my world. He is a boom operator in the Air Force and so far he loves his job. When he isn’t working he is probably working on his car, or on the internet finding things for his car. He is crazy, but you just can’t ask for a better husband.

Highschool sweathearts, that stuck together trough it all and ended up falling head over heels for each other. Married on November 23, 2009 and loving our wild and crazy life as two southerners living in the Northwest!

Getting into the grove

So far this week I have been staying super busy. Monday the hubs left for tdy and he is currently in alaska trying to survive the freezing coldness, however its not much better here because we are supposed to get about 8in by tomorrow. Yuck. But I am using this time to prepare for the big deployment coming up. I honestly have been doing very well and I am so surprised about it. Ya I creid when he left but there would be something wrong with me if I didnt.. But then again I know he is safe.because he is in the states still and talks to me everyday. So we will see.

during this time I am using it to figure out my new gym schedule. I went today and went to this class with a friend. I can say that it worked pretty well. It was fun and I think I am going to enjoy this class. However I can say I hate mountain climbers now. This lady really over did those today. Tomorrow is spinning. What fun huh?

Also, I need ideas for valentines gifts girls. I was thinking about a fleece blanket for him with our pictures on it, but there is no way I can make that. I have no clue. I realized this once my friend kelsey told erin to make one for her husband and I was like crap how am I going to make that I have no sewing machine... Fail.

Hope you all are having a good week :)

  1. I believe it was Kodak.com but they make the fleece blankets for like 40 bucks! You just sent them your picture and they blow it up and put it on the blanket. Sucks that you can only use one picture though :( . But if you do decide to get crafty I do have a sewing machine you can use haha

  2. You could always do a no-sew fleece blanket (http://www.craftelf.com/Craft_elf_general_no_sew_fleece_blanket.htm). If you got a plain color for one side you could do iron on pics (although I'm not sure how great that would work on fleece) And then a patterned fleece for the other side. They even have Air Force fleece at JoAnn's.
Or you could do a pillowcase- get the iron on printable paper and just iron your pictures onto an already made pillowcase.
    Just some thoughts, good luck!

  5. I made my husband a no sew fleece blanket! It's the blanket that has the ties all the way around. We have a few of them and we love them!
