My name Is Michel, I am a full time student majoring in education, a full time wife to my airman, and a full time mother to our two fur babies for now! I am a southern girl at heart and proud of it. I enjoy just about any outdoor activities, and love basketball. Coffee is definitely my weakness, especially here in the North West. I adore my husband and our family. We miss them much but enjoy our life in the Air Force.

My Airman, a lovable, caring, sweet, car loving, hardheaded man! : ) but he is my world. He is a boom operator in the Air Force and so far he loves his job. When he isn’t working he is probably working on his car, or on the internet finding things for his car. He is crazy, but you just can’t ask for a better husband.

Highschool sweathearts, that stuck together trough it all and ended up falling head over heels for each other. Married on November 23, 2009 and loving our wild and crazy life as two southerners living in the Northwest!

It is beginningto look like Christmas

Yesterday evening after I got off work and cleaned the house some, the hubs and I went to Walmart and I finally talked him into buying a fake Christmas tree! It was a really good deal. 88 bucks and it is 7 feet tall and pre light. I love pre light tress because putting lights on a tree is such a pain in the ass. So I was so excited.

Tree put together with nothing on it.
Then as we are walking around looking at decorations for the tree I thought I was going to have a melt down because the hubs has awful taste in decoration, and he wanted a colored star with blue lighst for the topping and crazy colored balls along with streamer to go around the tree. Ahh. I am a classy person and I love the elegant look with white lights with silver balls and with a hint of color.  So I caved a little and let him pick the colored balls, which are blue and I had to have silver along with a white star on top.

:)
I wanted to stop here because I wanted to add silver ribbon to the tree, coming from the top to the bottom, but the hubs bought these candy canes that i thought he bought to eat. Nope he bought them for the tree. So he starts adding them to it. I swear he is such a little kid. : )

you have to look closely
Once they were all on there I decided that it did not look bad at all, but I still want to add my ribbon I just have to find some I like . I love our Christmas tree and the fact that we got to put one up this year. This is our first year EVER putting up a tree. we have been together for three years and within that time we never put one up. So I am so thankful that he was home for this and the holidays to experience it with me.

I love having the Christmas lights light up the room.

I also brought out some of the other Christmas stuff I have been collecting this past month. I put away the thanksgiving ones and out with the  Christmas ones.

So cute. Love the rain deer

got this at the airman's attic

these pine cones smell soo good!

On another note, it is still snowing... BLAH. we have about 2 feet and it is still blowing down. Also I have saw my first real  icicles the other day. So cool.

our neighbors house. No other house but his had them.
Has anyone else started to decorate for Christmas yet. If so feel free to share ideas. I am down for any. I love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday EVER

  3. Our Christmas tree looks just like yours! And my darling hubby tried to do the same thing with all of the color. I had to talk him into choosing just one-the same blue you picked. I'm still working on getting him to agree to no tinsel. lol

  5. Hey I'm visiting from Amanda & Don's Saturday Around the world. Your Christmas decorations look great!! I don't think I am going to do much decorating this year. We put a futon in our sunroom where are tree was last year, so now we have no room for a tree. Hopefully I can figure something out by next Christmas!

  6. Thanks so much for stopping by - I think your tree looks pretty. I don't trust my husband's taste either...that's why he doesn't decorate. Hope you have a wonderful December!
