My name Is Michel, I am a full time student majoring in education, a full time wife to my airman, and a full time mother to our two fur babies for now! I am a southern girl at heart and proud of it. I enjoy just about any outdoor activities, and love basketball. Coffee is definitely my weakness, especially here in the North West. I adore my husband and our family. We miss them much but enjoy our life in the Air Force.

My Airman, a lovable, caring, sweet, car loving, hardheaded man! : ) but he is my world. He is a boom operator in the Air Force and so far he loves his job. When he isn’t working he is probably working on his car, or on the internet finding things for his car. He is crazy, but you just can’t ask for a better husband.

Highschool sweathearts, that stuck together trough it all and ended up falling head over heels for each other. Married on November 23, 2009 and loving our wild and crazy life as two southerners living in the Northwest!

Dear Mr. D

As you all know the hubs and I have yet to face our first deployment yet, but we both knew it was coming soon. We were told that He would be leaving around the 1st of the year, and I was very happy with that because he would be home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years! We were just told that he wasn't on the list for the January rotation anymore and that he could possibly be leaving before or after. Have I ever mentioned how I HATE the fact of how unorganized the AF is. It is horrible and they are always throwing shit at you at the last minute. It is ridiculous, and I do not see why they have problems with it at all. Deployments are already hard as it is, and not knowing when they are coming is even more stressful.. I swear it is just my hubs MOS, and his squadron that is so terribly at this. Everyone of our friends have known their D date like 3 or 4 months ahead of time. I am so not looking forward to the deployment world at all and it is something i need to get use to quick considering the hubs job is gone all the time. Last time we went through being apart, which was basic and tech school,  it was the hardest things I ever did and I just hope it is 100 percent better than it was then.

Random

So i am pretty excited to say that a really good friend of mine has made a milblog, and is now part of the milblogging world. Kelsey is an Air force girlfriend and has been for a year. She blogs about her life as an girlfriend living the long distance relationship. You can find out more about her on her blog HERE! She is up for whatever advice we can give her as spouses or friends. So fill free to comment on her things. She also is starting a survey for military spouses to get to learn more about the life style, so ask more about it when visiting her blog if you would like to do the survey.

I also want to mention that I am so happy that it is hump day and that it is practically over! that means Friday is near, but sucks for me because we have a festival Saturday and leaves me working 3-10. BLAH! But other than that this is all I have for today.

Did everyone have a good hump day?

My Entertainment

I walked into the bathroom and Sparta was sleeping under the shower curtain, so I ran to get my phone to take a picture and this is what I came back too. HAHA Fluffy is such a pest sometimes.

My Addiction

This is the only thing that is keeping me going right now!! I have to admit that is has lately gotten worse and my addiction is hard to resist! With me waking up at 6 in the morning and working till 5 ever day Starbucks is a definite must. To make it even worse I have school on top of working with kids 24/7, a house to maintain, and dinner to cook. good thing we don't have any kids right now because i would literally be in bed by 6!! When that time rolls around I should definitely get some kind of super mom award!

Today, I was late to work for the first time since i have started. Keep in mind I have only worked there for a week now, But I usually go on lunch break and we all come back at 2:30. Well, today I just assumed it was the same since it has been like that for a week now, but it wasn't. I was supposed to be there at 2:00 and here I come rolling in 30 minutes late with me Starbucks in hand. I was clueless until leah an employee was like your here. I was like yeah why wouldn't I? Then she busted out the news of how we were supposed to be here at 2:00. So I then felt like shit because I have only worked there a week and I am already rolling in late. Great huh? They weren't mad at all about it, but i still feel horrible about it. Now I know to double check the schedule everyday and not assume things.

Oh and I need to add that I went grocery shopping today after work and it feels good to have food in the house again! It has been a month without shopping, and we are usually okay with food now, but for some reason we have been real pigs lately. : )

How Civilians Can Help The Military!!

So I stole this from Erin and thought I would share with everyone as well.

Rules for the Non-Military

Dear Civilians,
'We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation
has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military.
For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand.
Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance:

1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat)
during the playing of the National Anthem - kick their ass.

2.. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American
Flag in protest - kick their ass.

3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the
highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone
doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans
fought for the very freedom they bask in every second.
Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make
this Nation great.
Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their ass.

4. If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were.
Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues,
telling Others that you used to be 'Special Forces'.
Collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were
seven years old, now, it will only make you look stupid and get your
ass kicked.

5. Next time you come across an *Air Force* member, do not
ask them,
'Do you fly a jet?' Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot.
Such ignorance deserves an ass-kicking (children are exempt).

6. If you witness someone calling the Coast Guard 'non-military',
inform them of their mistake - and kick their ass.

7. Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade,
get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand
 over your heart.
Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to
be carrying her - of course, failure to do either of those could earn
you a severe ass-kicking.

9. 'Your mama wears combat boots' never made sense to me -
stop saying it!
If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore would kick
your ass!

10. 'Flyboy' (*Air Force*), 'Jarhead' (*Marines*), 'Grunt'
(*Army*),'Squid' (*Navy*), 'Puddle Jumpers'(*Coast Guard*), etc., are
terms of endearment we use describing each other.
Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them.
Using them could get your ass kicked.

11. Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member
of the military, support our troops and their families.
Every Thanksgiving  and religious holiday that you enjoy with family
and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers,
sailors, marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with
their families.
Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day.
Without them, our Country would get it's ass kicked.

12. It's the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press.
It's the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It's the Veteran, not the community organizer, who gives us the freedom
to demonstrate.

It's the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath  the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester
to burn the flag.

I am so proud of my hubs for everything he does for our freedom, and every one else that is also fighting for us. They are all brave men and women who deserve this at the least. Support our troops.
Thanks to all of them and my wonderful Hubs, Love you babe
