My name Is Michel, I am a full time student majoring in education, a full time wife to my airman, and a full time mother to our two fur babies for now! I am a southern girl at heart and proud of it. I enjoy just about any outdoor activities, and love basketball. Coffee is definitely my weakness, especially here in the North West. I adore my husband and our family. We miss them much but enjoy our life in the Air Force.

My Airman, a lovable, caring, sweet, car loving, hardheaded man! : ) but he is my world. He is a boom operator in the Air Force and so far he loves his job. When he isn’t working he is probably working on his car, or on the internet finding things for his car. He is crazy, but you just can’t ask for a better husband.

Highschool sweathearts, that stuck together trough it all and ended up falling head over heels for each other. Married on November 23, 2009 and loving our wild and crazy life as two southerners living in the Northwest!

Take a secound and think.

Today I was on facebook, and a friend of mine posted a real interesting post that i wanted to share. It really makes you think and while I read this I was totally blown away...

"Sept 11th(NY) Jan11th(Haiti) and Mar 11th (Japan)...Luke 21:10-11....Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven." Jesus says, For behold I come quickly, (so...ask yourself..... ARE YOU READY?)"

I usually don't like bringing religion to my blog, but this just really made me think.

I love March

I know I have not mentioned how much I love March, but I really do. Only because it is the only month of the year where I can literally just watch college basketball all the time and the husband not get mad at me. Granted he is not here to share the wonderful outcome of today's game between Duke and North Carolina, but I am still loving every moment of it. Of course Duke won. This is now 18 times they have won the ACC championship since Coach K has been there. I am one proud fan cant you tell? The funny thing is that Joe has never really liked basketball and one year I took him to a Duke Fl State game and ever since then he has slowly converted over to the good side. Come to find out that he was over watching the game today while being deployed. It made me smile. : ) But I have put my brackets is for the madness to begin. Last year most of mine came true, and i am curious to see how this year goes. I am not going to share yet because I want everyone to have a chance to put theirs in. Am I the only one that is excited about this? More than likely I am, but it is ok.

I LOVE MARCH MADNESS!

Besides all the excitement with March Madness my life has been a blur. Which is why I have not been blogging much. So a little update: Deployment isn't that bad, I just really miss him a lot and it is only hard on the weekends for me. My friends keep me really busy and I love them for it. I have come to a place here in our new home, Washington, that I love. I have grown to love it here, and I have found the place where i fit in best, and found my group of friends that are always here for me and it truly helps a lot. Now all I need is for my fellow military girlfriends to move here, you know you are, and of course my family to be closer and I would be set. It is about time that i finally start to settle in. We have been here since July and I am just now feeling at home. Took long enough huh? But I do think that this deployment had really helped me come closer to the friends that I have here and they treat me so well. From feeding me, to just texting to make sure I ate dinner, or to just hang out watching teary eyed TV shows. Needless to say if it wasn't for a great group of girls I would be so miserable. However, I am so ready for him to come home.

Also this weekend Caitlin her husband and I took our dogs to the dog park and Auzza loved it. She had a blast and we saw other Australian shepherds there too. She had the tendency to try and roll with the big dogs and got pounced on a couple of times but she finally learned she wasn't that big yet. HA but here are some pictures I took.

She was so warn out after. I plan on trying to take her out there a lot. we will see.

DEAR MAY!

I really wish May would hurry up and get here. Yes, it is when Joe comes home and I am so excited to see him again, but I am really excited to go and see family. Since he has been gone I have really realized how much I miss them and it doesn't help when i get a phone call from my sister spilling bad news about my grandma and grandpa. It just makes me want to go home now, but I can't. I have a job and I can not ask off for that much leave. Although I wish I could, but they would deny it so fast. So I have a mental countdown in my head until May. I think we are planning only staying like a week and half because last time when we went for 2 weeks it was a little overwhelming. But who knows. I am really excited about it because my sister leaves for basic training in July, so when we go home we are having a party for her to wish her well. It is perfect timing because we can visit all of my side of the family in one day instead of driving around everywhere to see everyone because god for bid our family live near each other. We literally have to drive all over Georgia to see both sides of the family. It is kinda annoying but so worth it.

Oh and did any of you guys watch the new TV serious on Lifetime last night, Coming Home? If so did you like it? I missed it because i was so darn tired, but I am watching it tonight at a friends house. I am probably going to be crying my eyes out the whole time, but so worth it. : )

Show me your...

Mrs. Yellow Ribbon's is hosting the new Show Me Your.... postings and this week's posting is about your rings! So go link up HERE  and show off your rings.

Engagement ring!

My Ring now
Wedding ring.
Did you look at rings together?
One time, but it was WAY before we ever talked about marriage. Other than that I had NO idea.

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!
I Love my ring!! Both of them. My engagement ring was so pretty and I love it so much. It was very unique and I had so many compliments from random people saying how much they liked the settings. I was really sad when finding out that we were not going to be able to gets bands for it. So on our year anniversary my wonderful husband upgraded me to my beautiful ring I have now. However I did help pick this one out, but he pretty much narrowed the choices down for me. :) He has such great taste.

How often do you wear your rings?
Almost all the time. I take them off to shower because I have really dry skin, and sometimes when I am at work, because the kids spilled food coloring on them once. Big disaster.

Do you clean your rings?
Every time I go to the mall! I love getting them cleaned. Also every 6 months for sure, to keep my insurance good on them.

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?
To tell you the truth I have no idea. I was shocked and I was literally speechless. But after I could not staring at it.

The things kids do.

Have I ever mentioned I love my job. : ) well really I do. It isn't that bad and I could think of a million and one other jobs that would drive me insane. I love working with kids and just having a good time with them. BUT it does get pretty tiring after a while and it is always good to have some laughter and sometimes some moments when you just think why? These are some examples of what I am talking about: Today I was playing chess with some of the kids and one of them looks up with the most serious look on his face and says why are you guys always in my bubble? ( which he probably heard from me bc I am always talking about my personal space and comparing it to a bubble) In response on of the other kids says, bc we like to poke it. HA I died in laughter and I felt so bad bc I was laughing at it and the other kid got pretty upset. He was fine though as soon as I started to actually poke him he started laughing. : ) And then Yesterday I was sitting at the table with two other kids and one of them were playing with some building blocks. Well I happen to look over at him just in time to witness him sneeze all over the table and before I could say anything he had taken his sleeve and rubbed it in and then continued building WITHOUT washing his hands. It was gross and needless to say I made him go wash his hands and while he did I sprayed those blocks with bleach. : ) YUCK! I have become a germ freak since working with these little monsters. I do not want to get sick. So better safe than sorry.

Oh on some really exciting news I got yesterday, My best friend from back at home called me and told me that she is pregnant. She is also married into the air force, but stationed in New York. I have to admit a tad bit of jealousy came through that she is first, but I have plenty of time so I was so happy for her!

Also a update on the wonderful husband! I literally just got off the phone with him. It has been three days since I have gotten to talk to him bc he is on a really crappy schedule and when he is off I am at work and when I am off he is either sleeping or at work. BLAH! So thankfully i got to talk to him today and he is good. Real busy and always flying. But that is how it is for everyone there.

That is pretty much it for now.

Thank goodness for wonderful friends

I do not think that I could not survive without my group of friends I have here. I have really gotten close to them and they have all been here for me since Joe has been gone. Some are going through deployment with me and some are about to in the next couple of weeks. Then there are the lucky ones who will probably never have to experience that nasty dirty word. But all in all they are amazing and I love them all. This weekend was pretty much occupied by them. Friday we went bowling here on base, which turned out to be awesome. It was only 7 bucks a person and you bowled all you wanted and got to do everything else there as well. We just bowled though.  Saturday I experienced my first ever Pure Romance party, and it was very interesting. Needless to say I LOVED it and all the ladies that were there. From the Games we played, our conversations, and the food it was just an amazing time. I also came out with a few goodies, but very sad to know that I can't use them since the hubs is gone. May could not come fast enough. Anyways lets not get into that topic on here. :) Also this weekend I went to another tanning party, but did not tan. As you remember reading a couple post back my last spray tanned did not settle well on me, so the lady felt really bad and wanted to try something different to see if it worked. So I let her spray just my legs. HA. It looks okay right now but barley made any difference from my original color. But like I said I didn't go for the tanning just went for the good time. We ended up playing some kinnect and dancing our behinds off while stuffing our faces with food.

As you see my lovely friends here keep me busy and occupy my mind great. They are always here for me. But since I was such a procrastinator this weekend, i really need to go and do some school now. I have so many papers due this week that I need to finish. Oh how I wish school was a breeze and did not last so long.Oh and here are some pictures that were taken this weekend.
