My name Is Michel, I am a full time student majoring in education, a full time wife to my airman, and a full time mother to our two fur babies for now! I am a southern girl at heart and proud of it. I enjoy just about any outdoor activities, and love basketball. Coffee is definitely my weakness, especially here in the North West. I adore my husband and our family. We miss them much but enjoy our life in the Air Force.

My Airman, a lovable, caring, sweet, car loving, hardheaded man! : ) but he is my world. He is a boom operator in the Air Force and so far he loves his job. When he isn’t working he is probably working on his car, or on the internet finding things for his car. He is crazy, but you just can’t ask for a better husband.

Highschool sweathearts, that stuck together trough it all and ended up falling head over heels for each other. Married on November 23, 2009 and loving our wild and crazy life as two southerners living in the Northwest!

My Hero's

As we all know today is Veterans Day and as growing into the military life I have learned to appreciate this holiday so much! I use to never think twice about this holiday and just thought of it as a day out of school. But now my perspective has changed and I appreciate everyone you has served and is serving for our country more everyday! I am not going to lecture every one about how the day came about, but share some quotes instead.

But the freedom that they fought for, and the country grand they wrought for,
Is their monument to-day, and for aye. ~Thomas Dunn English

It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you.  ~Author unknown, sometimes attributed to M. Grundler

In war, there are no unwounded soldiers.  ~José Narosky

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.  ~Elmer Davis

I think there is one higher office than president and I would call that patriot.  ~Gary Hart

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.  ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude.  ~Cynthia Ozick

Lord, bid war's trumpet cease;
Fold the whole earth in peace.
~Oliver Wendell Holmes

How important it is for us to recognize and celebrate our heroes and she-roes!  ~Maya Angelou

The more we sweat in peace the less we bleed in war.  ~Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit

Courage is almost a contradiction in terms.  It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die.  ~G.K. Chesterton

In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned.  When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.  ~Mark Twain, Notebook

"I dream of giving birth to a child who will ask, "Mother, what was war?" - Eve Merriam

And now I am going to share some pictures of friends and family.  Thank You to all

I am a proud AF wife and I love my husband so much! It blows my mind at all the things he does for us!! I thank him all the time for it, and I just want to thank him again and everyone else who has served or is serving today!!!   THANK YOU!

Work will be the death of me

Today, i worked an 11 hour shift and only got a 30 minute lunch break! Needless to say I am soo ready for bed!!! I never though it was possible to feel this way! So this blog will be short and sweet! : )
I am now however certified in CPR once again! Thanks to my long day at work.
Also today, on my break, I came home for a minute and got out of my car to a dog that was almost as tall as me. There was a number on his collar so i called it and come to find out it belonged to the people that lived across the street. noone was home so this is what she said, "I know this is going to sound weird and all, but our front door is unlocked and would you mind just walking through our house and putting him in the back yard and you can just leave the back door open so they can go in an out?" Crazy right? lol. So i did. It was weird but i would want someone to do it for me as well. So after work I went and introduced myself so they would not feel like they had a stranger in their house. : )

Oh and yesterday I went to ross and bought a picture to hang in our living room. I love it. It adds a lot to the room. : )

That is all for today. Hope everyone had a great Monday!

Weekend Wrap up

Alright I have not blogged in about 4 days and I just have not really had the time. So I decided to sum it all up in one post.

Yesterday the hubs and I, AND Caleb, ( HA ) went to see You Again. It was a really cute movie and really cheap because it was one base at the theater. So it was 2.50 per person. Nice huh? Other than that my weekend has been really boring.

However Erin and I finally got to meet our new friend that we have been chatting to through Face Book. Her and her hubs just arrived here Wed. We all went to dinner Friday and have been just hanging out. They are really nice people and I am glad that we all are getting to know each other. She is also in the process of making a blog, so once it gets going I will share a link with you all so you can also have the opportunity to get to know her. This is their first duty station and I am sure she will love all the advice that comes along with blogging.

Today, was supposed to be a date day with the hubs, BUT he decided that it was a great idea to stay up till 6 in the morning playing stupid COD!! I swear sometimes I want to throw that thing out the window. but then again he would prob divorce me. lol. So instead I will prob go to Ross with Erin and Caitlin! which is fine with me. : )

Also I wanted to share my new projects I am working on at the time. our kitchen table is very nice but out chair cushions have been through hell and back. so I am covering the with new fabric that matches our settings. I will share pictures as I start. Which might be next week. Also in our guest bedroom the bed in there does not have a head board so I am going to make one that hangs on the wall behind the bed. I have helped make one before and they are so cute. I think that it will bring the room together more.

So be expecting lots of pictures of my up coming projects. I may wait till the hubs deploy to do the head board but the chairs are a must.

Hope everyone had a great weekend..

Mrs. Princess

Fluffy is the true house owner! She literally runs this house. Well while we aren't home anyways. This is where she was at when I came home from work. She was passed out and had her legs stretched apart, but as soon as I bring the camera out she wakes up.. haha. She is so cute, and for as little as she is, she is a big handful. She even beats Sparta up. It is funny. But I love my little princess

Proud Sister!

Today, I received a phone call from one of my sisters back at home, and it was really good to her from her. I do not talk much to my family, besides my mom, because I guess we are all so busy. But my sister has been trying to join the Air Force for about a year now. It has been a long process for her because when  she was younger she fell into a fire pit and burnt her hands up so she has had many surgery's to replace skin and give her movement in her hands. So while trying to join she had to track down all her files from the doctors and get re-cleared by them. They then had to send them to MEPS to make sure she will be cleared by the military doctors. So a year later she is finally leaving tomorrow for MEPS and I am so happy for her. She has not had the best of luck with her life and is in major dept. She wants to get out of Georgia, but has no money to move away. So she is trying hard to move forward in her life and I can't be anymore proud of her. I am stoked she is trying to join the Air Force because maybe just maybe she will get stationed here with me. How cool would that be? I know the odds are slim, but I can hope. So tomorrow as she goes off to MEPS I hope the best for her and she only hears good news. I just thought I would share with you all because I think it is an amazing thing my sister is doing, along with all the others that serve for us! : )
