My name Is Michel, I am a full time student majoring in education, a full time wife to my airman, and a full time mother to our two fur babies for now! I am a southern girl at heart and proud of it. I enjoy just about any outdoor activities, and love basketball. Coffee is definitely my weakness, especially here in the North West. I adore my husband and our family. We miss them much but enjoy our life in the Air Force.

My Airman, a lovable, caring, sweet, car loving, hardheaded man! : ) but he is my world. He is a boom operator in the Air Force and so far he loves his job. When he isn’t working he is probably working on his car, or on the internet finding things for his car. He is crazy, but you just can’t ask for a better husband.

Highschool sweathearts, that stuck together trough it all and ended up falling head over heels for each other. Married on November 23, 2009 and loving our wild and crazy life as two southerners living in the Northwest!

Perfect Christmas

I can now say that this is one of the best Christmases I have had in a very long time. I loved spending it with the hubs and skyping family. I would have much rather been in the south for the holidays, but for it just being the hubs and I we had a blast. I can also say that the kitties had a really good Christmas too. We however did not get any snow on Christmas, it seems like it has all moved down south for a little bit because all my family said they got snow in GA!! How weird huh? But I was okay with no snow for now, we still have a good bit stuck on the ground and roads. But on to what we got for Christmas. You will never guess.....

I GOT A WII!!!
I have always wanted a wii for a while now and I always talk about playing Mario, and the hubs finally got the message. : ) I got Mario, the Wii, two remotes, and a dock charger. : ) I didn't think anything could top this but things just kept getting better.

My boots!! Living here in Washington i wear nothing but boots. the hubs gets tired of me talking about how I need more boots, so he bought me some. and the can is rain and stain protector. It works amazing at keep the wet snow out of the shoes. : )
My awesome new blow dryer. Let me tell you about this thing. It is a-m-a-z-i-n-g and when I say amazing i mean it. It has unbearable heat to where I have to keep it on warm not hot. and It blows so fast. Also the best part is that the cord is automatic. touch one button and the cord snatches itself back into the blow dryer and re leaves you of a mess of tangled cords.
This is Christmas from my mom! Those gloves are so cool. they are made to where you can still text on your touch phone.

I also got a new web cam from the hubs! He got it for me because when he leaves for deployment he is taking the laptop and it is the only computer we have that has a web cam and he knows that I want to skype as much as possible.. So he did good thinking ahead and it worked out great.

Now this is what the hubs got

A guitar, amp, and the whole deal! He use to play the guitar a lot before the military and he talks about how he wants to get back into it. So he got a little kit to play around with.
A watch, cologne, and underwear. He needed a watch for his flights and work. This watch is pretty cool. It has it all, standard time, military time, some other weird time the hubs needs for flights, and much more. pretty cool.
HAHA. There is a story behind this. I have a body pillow that I sleep with every night. the hubs gradually steals it from while sleeping, so I bought him one, so he did not have to steal mine. : ) it was so funny to see his face while opening this. I got him a pillow case for it too.
And a video game from my mom. She did pretty good. he loves this game. but doesn't seem to get time to play it now considering i got a WII now. : )

And now to share a few pictures of the cats and their Christmas
they got a stocking full of toys and cat nip
lets just say they went crazy

Christmas @ work.

Today, when I walked into work, I discovered a present in my box!! How exciting right? I love gifts and I was not expecting to get anything from anyone at work. After reading the card and finding out it was from Ms. Deanne, the receptionist I opened it. She had given us all the cutest Christmas towels. I was stoked because I love Christmas and I was looking forward to putting them up once I got home. Now they are hanging in the spare bathroom. : )

These are the towels along with a fresh scented beaded pouch that you put in a drawer or cabinet to keep things fresh. I put it in our underwear drawer, the hubs is prob going to freak when he opens the drawer and is over loaded with the smell. ha
And this was the card that she gave to us. I thought it was just so adorable that I had to share with you guys.

Today I also found out that all our family and friends received our Christmas cards in the mail. I was worried they were not going to make it before Christmas, and I am so glad they did. Another thing, today was my last day of work for this week. : ) yay for a real three day weekend. Next week at work we are going tubing with the kids. I am so anxious about it because I have never done it. It should be loads of fun. But other than that there is not much going on so I figured I would not bore you all with my random thought and share a few pictures of our cats. I know I post a bunch of pictures of them, but they are just so cute. Imagine what I am going to be like when we have babies. : )

He is sooo FAT!

Stopping daddy from going to work.

Fluffy and her random poses.

They finally can sleep together without fighting.

Christmas is near!

Hands down this is my favorite holiday ever!! It even over rides my birthday. So I thought I would share with you all ten things I love about Christmas.
- The Cheesy TV- I mean you can not get any cheesier movies, TV shows on any other holiday. But I love them. I will be flipping through the TV guide just to see what Christmas movies are coming on later. My all time favorite is the Grinch, and I have not gotten to watch it yet this Christmas. However that will be changing soon. : )
- Christmas trees- I love love love Christmas trees. I have grown up always putting up a tree and decorating it for the holiday. It is a moment the family comes together to bond with each other. This year the hubs and I put ours up, because family can't be here this year. It was definitely an experience because he wanted to do some crazy things to our tree. : )
-Setting up decorations- Who doesn't love all the pretty lights. Which we didn't get to put any up outside this year.. Next year for sure.
-Christmas music- This is the only time out of the whole year I want to hear Christmas music. If I hear it  before or after I HATE it. But at this time it is my favorite.
- Being sneaky while buying presents- I think this is my favorite. I like being sneaky behind the hubs and families back. I want them to have no idea what I am getting them. I like to hide the present from the husband and make him wonder where they are.
- Personally I like guessing what I am getting for Christmas- I call the hubs out all the time, because I know he can not lie well and he will just give in sooner or later. He even tried to give me one of my gift already because I guessed it. haha
- All the phone calls from family- Since we live so far away from family, this is a holiday where everyone calls us to talk or we either skype. It is great to catch up with family.
- The food- I like having a big meal on Christmas. We have always done it, and I plan to keep it going even if it is just the hubs and I for now.
- All the holiday spirit- It is wonderful to hear a casual Merry Christmas when shopping, and all the decor.
- And of course giving and receiving gifts- Who doesn't like getting gifts?

Speaking of gifts today we received the gifts from my mom in the mail. However we can not open till Christmas yet though.. I cant wait!

Now the silver gifts are from my mom to us. So ignore the wrapping. I did not learn from her : ) and the ones without ribbon are the ones the hubs wrapped so once again ignore them. haa. The good ones are the ones with ribbon on them.. Of course I wrapped those. : )

Have a great night.

Perfect weekend.

Yesterday was one of the best days the hubs and I have had in a while. It was great to get to spend some time with him alone, and not with any of our friends around. Thursday, I received my giveaway prize that i won from abbey @ Trading Diamonds for Dog Tags. I was so excited about it and I could not wait to get it in the mail so the hubs and I could have a date night. So I was literally checking the mail every day to see if it had came yet. : ) And it finally came and just in time for the weekend.

I won a $20 gift card to Chili's

Needless to say the hubs and I enjoyed this very much. I love their Cajun Chicken pasta and I have been craving it for a while. : ) After we ate chili's we went to the mall to pick up my ring, i had to drop it off about 3 weeks ago to get it cleaned because some kids at work got red food coloring all over it and it would not come out. So we got my ring and we walked around the mall. The hubs told me that one of my Christmas gifts were going to be some boots. I LOVE BOOTS. So he wanted me to pick them out, and of course I knew exactly which ones I wanted. They are from American eagle and are gray boots. TOO CUTE. WE came home and I was supposed to go to a cookie exchange party but the snow stopped me from going. So I still cooked the cookies for the hubs and I. It was my first time cooking these. My sister makes them all the time around Christmas so I got the recipe from her.

They are Corn Flake drops. : ) they are so yummy too. This is how you make them
- Sugar
- Clear Corn Syrup
- Corn Flakes
- Peanut Butter

You bring to boil one cup of sugar, and one cup of corn syrup. making sure you stir a lot!! Once it is boiling add the 12oz of peanut butter and stir until it has all melted. Take off heat and add corn flakes. Keep adding corn flakes until it is to hard to stir. When done take a spoon and grab a spoon full and drop it on your tin foil to cool off.  then your done. :)

Very easy, and they are so yummy. I am going to take some to work Monday to share, and leave some for us to munch on.

To top of our wonderful date last night, I received another gift card from my secret Santa at work for the movie theater down the road. So the hubs and I are going to try and advantage of it tonight. We are planning to do a movie and then a nice dinner here at home. : ) I love weekend that are spent like this. : )

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend too.

My day with Pictures!!

So I have tons of pictures to post today. As I mentioned yesterday, I am making a cup for my secret Santa at work and I have finished it today! I am so excited about it and it turned out so well. If you would like to make one for yourself or as a gag gift for someone it is really easy!
Materials
- Plastic cup: any size, shape, color.
- Spray paint of any color
- Acrylic Jewels
- super glue
- finally an imagination

All this coast me maybe 15 dollars!
Once you gather all your things together, the first thing you want to do is spray paint your cup. You want to do this outside in the grass, if possible, or on newspaper. Make sure to put something on top of the cup to cover the inside, so paint will not get inside it. Let it sit for a few hours. After that check to see if it is wet. If not you can begin. At this point it is all about you, and what you would like to put on it. Use your imagination and go crazy. make sure not to use to much super glue. just a little will do.  Since mine is being used as a gag gift for secret santa I went crazy with it and put tons of Jewels on it. So enjoy.

Obviously her name is TJ

Then I added star to the bottom

bedazzled the whole bottom, which took me forever!

The Front

The back

The back again

My mess!

Who knew crafting was so messy

Also today, as been amazing. I was sitting at home, on my lunch break, and I was working on finishing the cup. I then hear the door bell and when I open it I find a package!! You will never guess what finally came in!!!

That is right... My Christmas cards came in and just in time too!! I was so excited when I received these. I have been waiting on them for a week and I really need to get them out by Friday!!
cards and envelopes

These pictures really do not do them justice because they really look better in person. I hope our family enjoys them just as much as i do!

Well this is all I have for you guys today!! Please do not forget to go check out our new blog! It is called the deployment Dairies click HERE to visit. Bare with us though, we are still making changes as the holidays are near.

The perfect day off

Since today was my only day off this week, it has consisted of..... Cleaning, studying, blogging (which is now), and in the next hour another exam! Sounds like the perfect day off right?? Alright I am being a little sarcastic. I would much rather be just laying on the couch watching a movie with the hubs, and stuffing our faces with all types of junk food ( which by the way neither of use need to do). But there are so many things keeping me from doing that. Not only do i have millions 6 exams total to take, my husband as been on his high horse lately. And by high horse, I mean he has been real paranoid about everything. You see, since he is deploying soon he had to go get all his shots up to date. One of those shots was small pox. I do not know if you all are informed on the information about this shot. It isn't just one shot that they inject you with fluid. they take a needle and stick you 15 times in the same area. They then tell you to keep it bandaged for a month, wash your clothing separate from your spouse, do not get it wet, do not scratch it, and always where a shirt over it. Before getting this shot, just like all others they ask you the question "have you ever!" Well they asked the hubs all kinds of questions and one was if he has ever had eczema? He of course forgot that he had it when he was a kid, until he got home, and told them no. So a week later, which is now, he has been so cautious about everything, even the cats. he though Fluffy was infected one day. Well today, after we had a shower we noticed that he has developed these small bumps all over his back and stomach. They did tell us that it could spread, and it is possible that it could become really bad. So needless to say I went around this whole house and bleached everything. My house now smell like bleach everywhere. I guess it is better to be safe than sorry and I know that if the house is kept clean the hubs cant fuss about that being the problem. :) He is going to the doctor tomorrow to get everything checked out. I really hope that it is nothing serious.
Now as he sits on the Xbox playing his video games, I cook dinner, and gather up as much time as I can to blog and share with you guys about my relaxing day off. I am now going to take another exam and hope I do well. tomorrow is my last day of exams.. WOOT!

Be on the look out.

So me and a couple of my friends have decided to start a blog while our husbands, Boyfriends are deployed. They are all going to be gone around the same time and we thought that it would be a good idea to start something that many of our followers could relate to. We should have it up and running real soon, we are currently working on a design. So when it is a go you guys will for sure be the first to know. So far the suthors of this blog consists of Erin @ More To Love and Kelsey @ Home is Where the Heart Is.

Also guys do not forget to enter abbey's giveaway. It ends tomorrow and you do not want to miss out on it.. Click HERE to check it out.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I had to work today so last night I passed out watching a movie with the hubs and like 9.. I swear I feel like a hold woman some times. So since I do not have to work tomorrow the hubs is taking me out to apple bees. We are trying to squeeze in as many dates that we have time for, and can afford while he is still home. : / But for now I should be taking my exam that I got on the computer to do in the first place but started to blog instead. : ) So I will leave you all with a picture of fluffy. We had to give her a bath the other night and i could not resist.

AWWWW.. Have a great SUNDAY!
